HELP LORIKEET IS ACTING STRANGE

Hi
I went away for two days leaving my lorikeet with a friend and he won't come out to play or eat a lot and he eats heaps normally. My friend didn't give him any flowers (pollun or honey) so i think that might be the reason as he is a wild bird (we rescued) he has Beak and Feather Disease. I gave him flowers and he went crazy. He hasn't had flowers for two days can it kill him? and if there might be another reason please tell me as i am avoiding the vet because they will put him down.

Thank you very much but the lorikeet was just really hungry.
He needed pollon slowly he is getting better.

Next time have your friend feed him what the bird is used to eating.
