Help, low temps!

My incubator won’t work with me! When I first got my Govee for the incubator the turkey eggs were about 1 week in and the temp was 97-96 even though I set the temp on the incubator to 99 It has been about 1 more week and the temps won’t go over 98. They all seem to be alive.?.? Did I kill all the eggs or will they just hatch REALLY late? Help!

Can you turn your incubator up more to even the temp out? You can try adding extra insulation or putting it in a warmer room. I wouldn’t give up on them yet.

I have turned it up to but it is still not getting up to 99. There is a blanket around the incubator. I could put a space heater right next to it.

I’m sorry I don’t know what else to do or if a space heater would be safe. Maybe @Kiki can help? I know she hatches a lot.

Are you relying on the built-in thermometer only?

No. Go to the store and buy another thermometer and calibrate it real quick.

You cannot trust a built-in thermometer to be reading correctly.

No, I don’t trust the built in thermometer, we have a Govee the tells the temp and humidity.
