Hi all,

I just butchered a 12 week old broiler(cockerel) this morning. A normal healthy vigorous bird, except...A strange lump attached on the inside skin of the breast. The lump was a fluid filled sac, that burst while trying to remove. The fluid was slightly bloody, but not foul or gross. I removed the remaining sac plus skin and rinsed the bird. No signs of anything foul or infected on the meat itself. An otherwise clean bird.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this while butchering their chickens?
I've attached pictures.I'd rather make an informed decision as to whether or not the bird is safe to eat, or should be disposed of.

Thanks for the Help!
