Hi, I'm using the Brinsea Octagon 20 incubator for the first time. I put my eggs in lockdown last night and I'm having a hard time maintaining the humidity level. I've filled both chambers with water and adjusted the vent and the humidity level still wasn't high enough, so I added a small, wet sponge. That did the trick and brought the humidity to 70%, but after doing that this morning, the humidity is dropping again this evening. Does anyone have any good tricks to keep the humidity high during lockdown? Thanks.

A cool mist vaporizer near the incubator helps too.

Funny that you mention that. I did it a couple of hours ago.

You can use a syringe to squirt more water onto the sponge easily. This is how I did it. Drilled a small hole next to the sponge, and inserted a straw, and then squirt water from the syringe through the straw (the straw can stay in place as a port).

Thanks for the tips everyone! So far I have one little chick!!
