Help....major egg loss daily.

How many hours of light are they getting? And what breed(s)? Cold doesn’t necessarily slow them down too much, it’s the daylight hours that trigger more or less egg laying.
They are set for 12hours of light. Breeds? Mix. I have some lavender ameraucana, a few easter Eggers, speckled Sussex, orpington, silver windows etc

Depending on weather (if it’s cold) or age (if they are molting or getting older, but the latter would not be your case) they could be slacking off. I was getting less than an egg per day last winter with about 13 laying hens.

How long ago did you add supplemental light? It’s possible they’re still on the reduced daylight schedule and haven’t gotten back with the program. Even with the light I would expect to get fewer eggs through the winter than you’re used to.

Maybe I'll set up a camera
Good Idea.

They are 10months. Yes it's cold but they went through the cold change a month ago. I adjusted the heat in the coop to make it regular temps 50's-60's for them, added light with a timer last weekend. I dont see any mites. Their poop looks clear of anything strange but I'll dig more.
Do they have a run too...any free ranging?
Lots of ventilation in coop?
How are you heating the coop?

So did the egg laying stop about the same time you added the lights?
At what times do the lights run?

Oh and.... Welcome to BYC! @HopMomma
