Our 5 Y.O. male cat got "fixed" 2 years ago, STOPPED SPRAYING. Two weeks ago STARTS SPRAYING! Not Bad, but I'm afraid my dad will say we have to get rid of him. I love him so much, he means the world to me and I couldn't let that happen! How can I make him stop? PLEASEEEEEEE HELP!

I would first take him to the vet to rule out a UTI. And then, like sourland mentioned, any changes that could have triggered his behavior? New surroundings? New litter? Other cats hanging around?

Echoing what both posters above have said. Stress triggered by a new animal moved into the house, or a UTI. Best take him to the vet to see.

Did something in the household change to 'trigger' him?
There are kittens that run all over outside. & their pretty momma. maybe that's it???

Thanks guys!

I agree you should take him to he vet as it may well be a physical problem like UTI the vet can fix. Just wanted to say, really, what a lovely boy he is!

Hate to say this but usually once they start, if you don't correct it RIGHT away (wich most arn't able to) then it'll be a never ending problem. Good luck

Thanks, anyway, it's 3 against my dad on getting rid of him! HA!
