Theabee, I think any sexlinks you would get up there would b cold hardy, otherwise the feed stores would have a hard time selling them. Mine are very friendly and so far no broody hens except Big Momma the old lady. Good luck with your coop preps and there is always good advice on here so don't hesitate t ask for help.

Just built our coop, chicks are outside only 4 days (little over 5 weeks old) Our coop is a basic shed shape 8 x 8, run is 4' tall, 8'long, 4' wide, wish we had doubled the run size (will do so in the spring)! (6 chickens). Most new chicken keepers post here they wish they went bigger, so I would say go as big as you can fit!
