Help me build an incubator

Let me start by saying I'm a rookie but have been doing a lot of reading. This will be my second attempt, the first attempt seems to be doing okay but I won't know for sure for a couple days. I have two requirements for this build, must be made from free or very inexpensive items and I also would like it to look clean unlike my current one that is somewhat ugly with a clump of wires and such. Any suggestions about design or methods of construction are welcomed.

Here are the materials I have so far for this build.

Styro Cooler
Computer fan in box with switch
Cell Phone Charger
Silverware tray
Hardware Cloth
Two ceramic light bulb sockets
(all free)


I'm looking for suggestions regarding the heat source and thermostat also egg turner.I have some small (8x10) glass for the window but also have a larger piece of plexiglass what one would be recommended?

I may slip in some pics of the fuzzy silkie butts that should be piping in the next 48 hours.

I used his video to build mine you can check it out and I think you have most of the items needed.

He has many video's that could help you on youtube. I hope you find what you need.
