I only want two ducks.
What breed has these characteristics:
1. lays a lot of eggs
2. grows relatively fast
3. is quiet!
4. tolerates confinement (I don't have room for a large pen, and there are too many predators around for free-range)
5. does not require a pond
And another question...
are muscovies the only breed that breeds out of water like I've heard? Does that mean if you don't have a pond/pool you can't breed the other duck types?
and...
Are muscovies seasonal layers, or do they lay pretty much all year? If they are seasonal, what is the season?
