Help me convert this play structure into a coop.

This structure is at least 15 years old - most likely older. The wood is in decent shape. It is pretty sturdy as well. I climbed up in it to take pics. It used to sit in our back yard with a slide and swings attached. It has been back in the woods for at least 7 years. My husband has been reluctant to build me a coop, but will help revamp this. Of course he built this structure. Lol
It has 3 openings and no top. So, what would your recommendations be to remedy this? How could we add a roof with proper ventilation?
It is very high up off of the ground, so we are going to cut it to make it lower. How far off of the ground should we leave it?
Thanks!

That sounds good. That is enough room for the chickens to go under if needed. :thumbsup
Wait is this for chickens or ducks? If it’s for chickens then cut it down to 4 feet from the ground so that you don’t have to bend down low to clean out their bedding and you can also hang their feeders and waterer underneath.

Chickens. The ducks will have a step 2 playhouse!
