Help me decide about roofing

Here’s the enclosure for our two ducks - they aren’t living out here yet (they are free ranging during the day and still indoors at night). I am realizing I will need to keep their food dry and give them some shelter from weather as they are none too fond of their house as of yet.
So, considering a partial roof, maybe tarps at first to see what’s going to work.
If this was your pen, what would you do? Newbie needs help

No idea about the roofing, but I'd be concerned with ducks developing bumblefoot on a rock bedding like that, they really need soft bedding.

I did a thick ml of tarping. If you go thin it will shred like paper. But tarps are an economic way to providea shelter without breaking the bank.

Thanks! Do you think tying tarps down flat is ok or should I try to have a slope to them?

If that’s hardware cloth you may be ok flat, but sloping is alway safer.
