Help me dog people! Dog psychologist needed!

How is sweet Brewster doing by now? Does he still have to wear the cone?
He actually, never needed the cone. No chewing or scratching! He did excellent. I was somewhat taken aback by the fact that he still has the sack. I didn't even think about them leaving it, but it stands to reason that they would.
We acquired a new family member yesterday. A stray kitten showed up in the chicken yard. My cat hasn't been too receptive to stray cats in the past but she seems ok with this one. She's only around 6 to 7 weeks, I believe, as her eyes are in the process of changing colors now.

She is so tiny, I couldn't turn my back on her. So, more vet bills to come. Lol.

So adorable though! Haha more vet bills but now an adorable kitten to keep a close eye on. It was destined!

Glad he is doing so well! But what did they gave as a reason to leave the empty sac?

Your new addition to the family is really cute! :love

Thank you!
They told me that they no longer remove the sac in older dogs. They put all sutures on the inside and say that it helps prevent injuries from chewing and licking.
