Help me!! Duckling drooling

So my duck has only just came out of his egg and it’s only halfway out but it is drooling a thick mucus type fluid and I’m not quite sure what it is. it literally looks like snot but my duckling isn’t fully hatched yet what should I do and what is this????

Sounds like it may have swallowed some egg liquid lack of a better word. Leave it alone for now since its still hatching and lets see if we can get some experienced hatchers here.

Do you have a picture? What color is the mucus? Are you sure it's actually coming out of it's mouth or just on the outside of the bill?

Let's see a picture first. My first instinct is to say leave it alone that it's probably just egg goo.

Yes he’s doing great but can only hop around on one leg
