Help Me Figure Out What My Rescue Chickens Are

Does the black one have solid black eyes or bright golden brown? Every Australorp I've ever owned had deep black, adorable baby eyes. My black sex links, however, had gold eyes and her copper colored feathering was almost nonexistent, just one gold feather under her head. Australoprs have all black or super dark brown eyes. If not, she's not that. Could be a mix though.

There are but they are almost extinct in the US. The whites don't look like Faverolles - not enough beard/muff, too little foot feathering and no 5th toe that I can see in that picture. What color legs do they have?

Just came from the coop and Problem solved...They have five toes , so they are the White Faverolles. These birds were probably brought from Mexico, but my neighbor doesn't speak English and has no clue what I am asking him.. They are young birds, and not taken care of by the neighbor, so maybe they will fill out more and beards will get larger. The black one is an Australorp..

The rooster reminded me of a Faverolles, not sure why - interesting that they have 5 toes! I believe that that colouring is an extremely rare find!

Do you have an incubator?

Edited for typo!

Here are a few more shots of the roo and hen. I will try to get a pic of their feet the next time I'm in the coop at night. To hard to catch them during the day.

I just love that face

One bossy girl...and look at those feet

Can't get a good pic of her feet . I will have to get her off the roost to get a good pick of her feet

The roo... Not as much facial feathers as hers. but a nice beard

Check those feet out. Yes he picks his feathers off his feet. Not sure why

his right foot only showing 4 toes but there is one at the back like showing in his left foot. I actually counted his toe and there are 5. looks weird...lol

Nice pictures! I don't have experience with Faverolles, but they definitely look like pictures I've seen. They have a solid body type (like in pic #4 of the hen), lightly feathered legs, beard, and five toes. Since there are very few breeds with 5 toes, if they aren't Faverolles, I assume they would be a cross of some sort.

Is the hen laying? If so, does she lay light brown/tinted?

I was mistaken... these only have 4 toes. I must have counted his spur the other night. so now I am on the hunt for what they might be again
