Welcome to BYC! We're glad to have you.
If you want to find birds for sales, I suggest posting in the Buy-Sell-Trade section of these forums:
Buy ~ Sell ~ Trade
You may also want to go to the Alabama people thread and see if anybody nearby has birds for sale: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/29002/alabama
Good luck in finding the birds you want!
You need 20 posts before you can participate in the buy, sell, trade forums. So for now check out the link Wyandottes gave you for your state thread. You may have someone near by and be able to see the birds before you buy, and not need to have them shipped.
Hello there and welcome to BYC!
Definitely stop by your state thread and chat with your chicken neighbors. Maybe someone nearby has some birds for you. Wyandottes has left you with the link to your state thread.
Great to have you aboard and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.
Welcome to BYC!
You will find a lot of good information here. Keep on asking questions and you will get many good answers.
You may also want to read the FAQ below.
Go to your local feed store and ask if they know any one selling chickens. They want to increase their customer base and are happy to help people become new chicken owners. Roosters are easy to come by. Hens not so easy. You can also search for hatcheries. Most sell day old chicks, but some sell full grown chickens also.
If you want to start from day old chicks, there are a lot of hatcheries who will ship them to you. There is a lot of information on this web site on taking care of them.
