I was given 9 chickens from a friend of mine, who got them from a friend of his. Unfortunately, none of is know what kind of chickens we have, or how many of them are roosters. A few of these I know are roosters, but I'm not 100% sure on the rest, and I don't know the breed of any of them.

If more photos are needed of any of these, let me know and I can get those today after work.

For these, I'm curious what breed they are.

These are the two I'm pretty certain are roosters. I'd still like to know their breed, though.

Then, I'd be curious to know if y'all know if this is a rooster, or not, and what its breed is.

Honestly picture 1 looks like your only girl. 2 is the only other that *might* be a pullet because the comb is still pale, but I'm pretty sure there are male feathers coming in. All the others are boys.

Only the first one is a girl, rest all roos. The barred one on the second picture looks girlish, but has too many shiny feathers on the wings, which says boy. They are mixed breeds. The rose combs are probably Wyandotte mixes, the boy with feathered legs is probably Marans mix.

Well this is definitely not good news! 😂

I was hoping for 2-3 roosters and the rest would be hens. Looks like I'm gonna need to get rid of most of these and just order me some chicks online so I know what I'm getting. Definitely can't have this many boys with so few girls.

I looked at a few of the others yesterday, that I didn't have pictured here, and it looks like out of the 9 I have, there very well may be only 1 girl. How's that possible? 🤦‍♂️

I am not an expert but this one seems a male too. The feathers in the top of the back seem too long and combed fod a hen, specially when compared to the lady in the back
