I lost one of my Calico silkie roosters lastnight it pulled him through the pen don't know why he was in his pen and not inside.


Also this thing tried to get inside my feed can and left its paws all over it. Is it a Coon?

Oh yes...Trap going out tonight any good suggestions on bait? I thought dog food and marshmellows?

If you're using a live trap, I'd suggest putting peanut butter on both sides of a piece of bread. Maybe add some "goodies" to that, like tuna fish, etc.... But the peanut butter makes the culprit have to work on getting the plate licked clean and in so doing, they're more likely to trip the trap. Good luck! Racoons are very smart. We've also had to place the trap so that they can't reach in from the sides and get the food.....which they'll do. They're that smart!!

Ok peanut butter sounds good...Maybe a peanut butter marshmellow dog food sandwitch...I thought about covering the back so it can't reach in to pull it through.

i have always used a kit kat candy bar to catch coons it works pretty good

thank you guys for letting me know what to put in the trap I used peanut butter and dog food and marshmellows.
