Hi, it's me again! This time, I just have a question or three. I would like to identify if one of my chicks is actually a Leia, or if they're a Luke. The images are the best they'd let me take, unfortunately.
Obtained: My own chicken, Artemis, laid the egg.
Age: About 8 weeks, almost.
Parents: Easter Egger hen, and likely a Rhode Hampshire Red rooster (or the White Leghorn Rooster).
The white chick beside Leia is Duck-Duck-Goose, or Duckie for short. They are the same age, however Leia has always been bigger than their siblings (River, Seven of Nine, Scooter, and Duckie are the ones we kept and can compare with), developed a bit faster, and began to get a red comb around June 1st. Duckie began to get a red comb about a week or so ago.
I have also noted that Leia tends to try to "mount" Latias, my disabled Rhode Red, often. Either that's out of play, dominance, or Leia is practicing mating. I appreciate any and all help, and I can try to get more pictures soon.
