Before anyone jumps me for the enclosure, my hubby is building a duck aviary this Thursday using poultry netting. I know that chain link isn't safe. As a side note I will post pics this week when it's finished. Hopefully it turns out really great.
Okay so I bought this duck yesterday and I was wondering what breed of duck it is. I think it looks like a khaki campbell but I was told this duck was a male and I noticed male khaki campbells have a different color head than this one. I'm not sure of the age. Also I didn't notice the curled drake feathers and I'm new to ducks so I'm not sure how to vocally tell a male and female apart either. So I guess I have 2 questions. What breed is it and does it look like a male? I need to get it a companion pronto and I would like to stick with the same breed if possible. Thanks in advance!

We will probably still go ahead and build it with the netting since we will be putting the ducks up at night. If it becomes a problem we will have to go back and reinforce with chicken wire.
