Help me identify this Chicken as a hen or Rooster

I rehomed him...I was drowning in roosters

See the tail behind him? It was supposed to be a SLW HEN. So was the other SLW, the australorp that lived, and the welsummer that lived. Is okay though. Sabre went on to be the very happy defender of a flock of grateful ladies.

He was a fantastic rooster. If I didn't live in suburbia, I would have kept him.


to the OP, at seven months, I would definately say hen. My girls are right around the same age, and no eggs here yet either. Just try to be patient...she will lay when she is ready...at least, I keep telling myself that about my flock!
