Poor Ollie's gone broody but, alas, we have no rooster. I'd like to let her raise some babies. She's a good girl, never pecks anyone, and has a good temperament. So I hate to let her set on *gasp* golf balls!

Would some kind soul be willing to donate half a dozen standard breed eggs to Ollie? She prefers easy to care for breeds without feathered legs. It gets cold here in the winter, so breeds that tolerate cold weather are happier here. Also, Ollie and the other girls (Australorps, Plymouth Rocks, Delaware, Speckled Sussex, Welsummer) would prefer to live with someone as big as they are, so bantams wouldn't work. I live in NW Ohio (Oak Harbor) and would be willing to come pick up the eggs if you're not too far away. If you're farther away, I would gladly reimburse you for the cost of shipping 6 eggs. I have PayPal to take care of that if you like.
Thanks for taking a look!
