Try posting in the Local Chicken Laws section of the Forum - look under Raising Backyard Chickens. Best of luck to you.

I'm in the same position in Michigan but in Armada. I cannot find a way to post a new thread but wanted to reply to you at least and let you know you are not alone in michigan with these ordinances, now we just need to figure out how to go about changing these ordinances!!!

In Michigan you have two options for having chickens legally. One is to change your local ordinance, and the other is to earn Right to Farm protection at the state level; Randy Buchler won a Right to Farm case in 2012 in a residentially zoned area of Forsyth Township, for example, despite ordinances that prohibit the keeping of livestock.

There is a Michigan Right to Farm thread here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...farm-law-what-does-it-mean/1570#post_13232415

And many of us who met on that thread started the Michigan Small Farm Council so we could work together on these issues: http://www.michigansmallfarmcouncil.org

Glad to have you join us.
