help me love my ducks

All I say is dog training pads!!!!!!

They are really easy to remove, absorb the poo, and reduce the stench a lot.

Put a cookie sheet with a paper towel below the food and water area. It catches the mess. I feed my little ones out of 4 oz mason jars. Keeps them from walking into it.

Thanks for all the great ideas! Right now, the wetness and mess is just an inconvenience, but I'm worried about keeping them warm and dry in the winter. I guess it is a "learn as you go" experience to some degree, too.

When I went to the feed store last week to get some layer pellets, they had the three ducks left and were debating how to sell them. They didn't want to sell a single, but no one had been in for a few days wanting any at all. They were four weeks and one day old, and no longer small and cute. They ended up giving them to me with the purchase of a bag of food. I guess it's not technically a rescue, but I bet they think it is. They are soooo happy outside. In the basement, they spend most of their time in the kennel. Outside, I've never seen them in it!
