I want to create a sort of fenced in compound that would hold 2 goats in a pen, 2 lambs in a pen, my chickens with coop and yard, raised garden beds , compost bin, worms, and flowers. Thats the dream. Does anyone have any useful tips about proximity of one to another? I need a good design that wont leave me with regrets later. I want to plant all kinds of things to make it a beautiful place as well as a producing area. It will be a place that i can bring children to see the animals and also learn about gardening. Its main purpose is to bring me much joy and at least an hour a day to spend leisure time I welcome any and all ideas, counsel, opinions I will take the warnings with the creative ideas. I truly believe i can learn from all of it. Thanks in advance!!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
How much land do you have to work with? Is there some reason why you can't pen the sheep and goats together? You could put their shed on one side of the fence with the chicken coop backed up on the other side of the fence to save on the number of buildings you need to construct. All of the flowers and produce should be outside of the chicken and livestock pens or they will just eat it all!

Welcome to BYC.
I think your best bet is to look at homesteading resources.
My favorite picture book is John Seyemoor's 'The self-sufficient life' It has a couple of layout ideas for a small but productive farm.
You might have to segregate the animals from the plants. Especially goats are known to eat everything.
I hope you find the info you need. Your project sounds lovely and worth pursuing.
