my five week old light brahma is definitely looking like a roo, he is soooo pretty. i let my kids name the chicks and this poor dear was named by my 13 year old daughter, and she named him....Ashton. :thun He is just not an Ashton, it's way too wimpy a name for him. I keep calling him roo which won't do either. my other brahma, who is a hen (the differences between them are huge which is why I'm certain he's a boy) is named Dolly (get it? Dolly Brahma?) anyway, I'd love a better name for my boy. I'll entertain any suggestions Thanks guys!!!!!

My Light Brahma roo is named Oliver....

How about Winston.....

My light brahma roo is Zeus. My dark brahma roo (the one afraid of thunderstorms) is Thor. I also like Apollo.
By the way, while Zeus is one of my bigger chicks, Thor is not. He actually amongst my smallest of the 18.

Thanks for the suggestions...I like all of them. I'll run them by the kids and see what they think. zeus is my favorite so far. My roo looks like a bald eagle right now, very regal and oh so beautiful. I love his neck feathers.

What about these from behindthename.com

ADRASTOS
Means "not inclined to run away" in Greek.

ARGUS (I really like this one)
meaning "glistening, shining".

DÁIRE (Goes well with dolly i thought and ii's fun to say daw-ra brahma!)
Pronounced: DAW-ra
Means "fruitful, fertile" in Irish Gaelic.

FERGUS
Means "man of vigour",

POLLUX
means "very sweet"

REMUS

ZEPHYR

Maybe moose? (I live in maine after all)

Thanks for all the ideas. My son thought of "barrack" (barrack o'brahma) but I don't like it. (clever though!)
