Help me name my silver laced wyandotte chick.

We just brought her home tonight (on the left in the picture) and we don't have any ideas of names for her.

She joins her two sisters that came home last Thursday - Leghorn "Twinkie" in the middle and Barred Rock "Oreo" on the right.

She is so darn cute. I've wanted a SLW since we got our first chicks last year!!! She was just delivered to the farm store today and when I put my hand in the brooder to pick one she came up and stepped right in my palm....... so she was the one! Once home she could hardly keep her head up or stand up for more than a few seconds. She's probably VERY tired from all the travels today!

Please post your cute names for her that might also tie in to how she will look as an adult.

I got 2 SLWs in my brooder. Both are named based on the "Lace" part of their breed. One is named Lacey and the other is Ada. Ada was named by my DH who is a computer programmer. She is named after Ada Lovelace who is pretty famous in the computer world.

Edited to add: Considering the names of your other two, you should go with CupCake. Like in Hostess Cupcakes which are black with white icing on them. Kind of like the coloring of a SLW.

I have a Marilyn Monroe, too. Mine is an Americauna and she is "blonde". I named all my girls after entertainers of the past. I have three RI Reds named Dinah (Shore), Patty (Page), and Sophie (Tucker). My black Australorps are Imogene (Coca) and Tallulah (Bankhead). The three Ameraucanas are Marilyn, Liz (Taylor) and Lana (Turner). I have one French Maran named ZsaZsa (Gabor) because that is a French name. I also have a hen named Jemima and a rooster named Ajax (after our favorite ski mountain in Aspen). I think I need to get out more!

LOVE your names hillcrest! My neighbors have chickens named ZsaZsa and a Coca, and I had a Dinah. Think I need a Lana.....sounds like a good name for a Cochin.

I'm having problems w/Lana since I moved the 6 wk. old chicks to the coop. I think she is a he. They are in their roomy brooder w/a door to their own private yard. The problem is that Lana won't let any of them go outside to discover the world. When one or two decide to go out, she/he chases them back inside, flapping her wings and scaring them all! I have tempted them w/worms and cracked corn but Lana is too bossy. This has gone on for two days now and I am ready to put Lana in time-out. She has always "ruled the roost" in the brooder but I thought she was just a dominant hen. This is all new to me - any suggestions?
