Yes, Speckled Sussex are generally friendly.

Polish and Cochin come in many different colors and would look pretty.

Of the breeds you listed for the poll, the Speckled Sussex will usually be the best egg-layer. Speckled Sussex are good dual-purpose chickens.

I'm a vegetarian, and certaintly won't be eating my chickens. I want a chicken that can lay some good eggs, but mostly, is very freindly.

Dont get any that have feet feathers or crests!!!!!!!!!! The other hens will pick on it and pull out it's feathers!:cd
