I have a 92 lb Dalmatian that I have been nursing back to health ...he is a monster..he just pulled Sybille's Tail off and I called my vet and she will not see a chicken. Sybille is on the roost with her three sisters and seems ok, but what should I do..needless to say the DOG is OUT of here TODAY! Any assistance is greatly appreciated. MANY THANKS!

Were the feathers all pulled out or is there tissue missing? If it is red and bleeding, you can put pressure on the skin and stop the bleeding within 3-5 minutes. Then apply antibiotic ointment (plain Neosporin or other) or spray on BluKote wound coat. Watch for picking by the other birds since they can peck her to death if they see blood or red.
