I got a call from my neighbor requesting that I come remove a chicken form her backyard. I figures I could always use another one so I obliged her. Only problem is I have no idea what breed it is. Judging by the size it has to be a bantam (It is barely a quarter the size of my california white I got this year). The closest I could find was a dutch bantam, but I thought I would ask and see if somewhere here could tell me what it is. TIA!

You can't tell from the pic, but she already has a fairly good size tail off the back, and it is light gray.

without seeing her entire body, I would say that she's a BBR Old english Game hen.

She is a silver duckwing old english game....they are good moms and I love them as pets...

I agree an old english game hen. They're known for their scrappy behaviors and being great mommas--nice find!
