Been in to feed my chickens and one of my little guys is very quiet and swollen looking...appears to be all fluid filled in chest area more to right hand side I've googled it and thinking either sour crop or water belly.... Weve isolated him given him a little water tried turning him upside down to bring stuff up and his mouth smells and brought up a little but not much bit of chick crumb and brown stuff but not much.... I guess I keep repeating it and the swelling will take time to go down but how do i know of its water belly or sour crop he's not swollen at backend aswell... Any advice would be appreciated

He hasn't really been pooping but I've got some water in him this afternoon and he's managed to bring some smelly brown stuff up and his did 3 big very watery poops he has perked up since then but still swollen but wanting to drink and his poop has gone more normal again
I've put a couple of pics on of him _20190529_191336.JPG DSC_1584.JPG DSC_1578.JPG _20190529_191248.JPG

I would agree that it looks more like a crop disorder, probably sour crop. What do you normally feed him? Can you get some electrolytes or Poultry NutriDrench and give him some according to the label? Gatorade or Pedialyte can also work. Do you have vet care available? Have you ever had any illnesses in your flock before? Sour crop can be a result of a long standing crop impaction that has caused bacterial or fungal infection. They are hard to treat successfully, but her is another good article about crop problems:

Never had anything before other than a silkie with wry neck but they all get chick crumb and I give herbs such as basil aswell and they have grass and meal worms aswell the others are all OK just this little dude but I've just ordered some probiotic stuff and I'm going to go to the local store tomorrow and see what else I can get and I'm going to ring around the local vets as I rung mine today and another 2 I sometimes use but none of them deal with chickens... I've Been using a little straw for bedding but I'm going to replace that with pine shavings tomorrow aswell he's perked up alot now but I'll see how it is in the morning and maybe trying getting him to vomit again.... Fingers crossed
