The chich was supposed to hatch a few days back like the other ones. It was not hatching and I counted day 24, so I introduced a safety hole.
18-20 hours later we peeled where the air sack was and the membrane was all white. I moistened it with coconut oil and all the veins were protruding so we did not touch the membrane.
The pic shows halfway through moistening.

The egg was placed back to the incubator.

14 hours later the membrane was rather dried out and I reapplied the oil. The veins were still intact but I cannot say that there were recession (not sure if more or less veins were there). The chick movement has been reduced to very little. I can now see the beak at the membrane which first I could not.
I'm rather worried that it won't make it since it looks like the membrane is drying and falling in towards the chick, still a lot of blood vessels around and barely any movement.

Any useful tips among the ones I already used?
note : I have followed all the files I found about hatching!

All you can do is keep it moist, and wait. Have the humidity around 80%. I'd say it has at least another 24 hours until it's ready. Did he ever internally pip?
