Help me save these chickens!

There is a kid that came up to me at class today and asked if I wanted any chickens.

Turns out that he has a large amount of rhode island reds, and Cornish buffs. Both hens and roos.

He said he bought a few, and then he left them free range and they reproduced like crazy I guess. He says he wants to get rid of them and is giving me 4 for free (will only be able to take 4 hens). He said he is just killing all the chicks beacuse he dose not want anymore, and wants to get rid of them.

Im sure he would give them all away.

Please help me so that all these chickens dont have to die.

There is a Humane Society up there that has a couple chickens already you could take them there Catskill Animal Sanctuary

Yea, but he dosent care for them anymore. He lets them room free, they just like to stick around his house

If nothing else, there are no doubt people around there who could make use of them for meat, who are in financial trouble and know how to slaughter.
