Hello! I'm newer to chicken keeping and want to make sure I only have hens. I am not ready for babies! Can anyone help me out?

Hello and Welcome to BYC. I'm glad that you have joined this community. Love your silkies. I have to be honest in that I don't have a clue. I think most people wait until they are old enough to lay to really know if there are any roosters in the mix. Maybe someone will have a good idea at least on here for you.

I can't tell. I can tell you that you won't have babies just because you have a rooster. Keep the eggs gathered so they don't sit on them.
