Please ask me a question I should know about chickens in general or about white Japanese bantams(I am taking her in showmanship)! Please number your questions so we don't get mixed up. And if I don't know something, I can look it up, right?

Ooh, yay! I'll have to come back to that one=, cuz I have to mow! Thanks! Keep em comin!

I mowed some and worked at a goat farm. Eeh...

1. The Japanese bantam was created in Japan from chickens imported from southern China. They were used in the royal gardens as early as the Tang Dynasty. Around 1200, they started letting other people have them. They were imported to the Netherlands in the 1600's probably via the East Indie Trading Company and are in Jan Stien's 1660 painting, "De Hoenderhoff," or "The Chicken Run." They were imported to England in [I forget the date] and were accepted in the Japanese Standard of Perfection in 1941.

That was from memory. It might not be all accurate, like dates adn stuff. I didn't look it up to type it here.

2. Oh wow, I don't know that one. I seems they do have a lethal gene; maybe we can find that somewhere.

3. Probably around 3 years.

Keep 'em comin'!

4. Some caracteristics unique to my breed are: a. The Japanese Bantam has VERY short legs b. The Japanese bantam has drooping wings and c. The Japanese Bantam has a tail carried forward past 90 degrees, which is a disqualification called "Squirrel tail" in other breeds.

Keep 'em comin'! I want to keep up my winning streak!
I will study without you anyways, but...
