Ok, this sounds fun but it's only going to be big enough to coop a couple birds. Now follow the bouncing ball.....
Remove the side door, install a centered shelf, if it does not have one, and attach a perch and lip (to hold in the eggs and litter) to the upper level and just a lip to the lower one. Now you have laying boxes. Cut a piece of plywood that just fits into the knee area and sits on top of the moulding at the bottom on the opening. Make a 3" lip around the edge of that plywood and paint it. Now you have a removable poop board. Cut a piece of branch, large diameter broom handle or dowel to snuggly fit side to side across the knee opening and wedge it in place about 14 inches down from the top of the knee area. From inside the nest area and thru the opposite vertical wall screw in screws to keep the rod in place (run 2 thru the non-nest side to keep the rod from rolling) and now you have a roost. From the back of the knee area, starting about 3 inches from the floor, cut a rectangle hole about 4 to 6 inches high and the full width of the knee opening and cover the holes with wire. (when done, this will seem redundant but will prevent a head getting stuck) Also cut about a 3 inch hole in the middle of each nest area's back wall also covering them with wire. Now there is some ventilation in the perch and nest areas.
Cut 4 pieces of 2x6 boards the width of the desktop minus 11 inches. cut 2 pieces of 2x6 the width of the desktop, get 4 boards 2x6x8 feet long. Cut an additional 6 pieces of 2x6 and 4 pieces of 2x4, 5 feet long (buy 10 footers and cut them in half). Also grab a box of 4" wood screws.
Lay 2 of the 2x6x8's flat on the floor and place the desk width 2x6 (minus 11") inside and cross ways at each end forming a rectangle 8 ft long and the width of the desk top. Toenail the screws in each corner to fasten the boards together. Make 2 of these. Stand a 2x6x5' on top of each corner on one of the rectangles you just built with the 6" side parallel to the 8 ft length and screw the into place. It should nowlook like a rectangular table without a center. Now flip the "table" over, legs up and attach the 2nd frame to the other end of the legs. Now you have a rectangular box.
Turn the desk/coop upside down and slide it inside the box at one end. flushing it to the outside edge and then pull it back 1 1/2 "from the edgebehing the desk/coop, and between the legs. It should fit snuggly between the legs. Run a screw thru each corner of the desk top into the flat 2x6 it's laying on and flip the unit back over (watch out for the screw ends sticking out what now is the top, break them off so you don't get hurt) Now you have a rectangular box with the desk suspended in one end.
Wedge the 2x4x5' boards into each corner forming corners in the box and fasten them to the 2x6 edge and thru the flat 2x6s. Take your remaining 2x6x5' boards and wedge them upright at the front corners of the desk/coop and fasten thru the flat 2x6 and into the desk edges. Take your 2x6 (should be the width of the desktop) and run it across between the middle 2 2x6 and snug it up to the bottom front of the desk/coop and screw into place. Repeat this at the back too. These cross pieces will help support the weight of the hanging desk.
Now you have a coop suspended inside a run frame. Take a piece of duct tape and overlay the paper slot in the desk top and check the interior of the coop for screw tips that might injure birds (break them off). Paint the entire unit including the tape, the inside and undersides of the desk and all boards. Using hardware cloth, screen in all sides except for the floor and the end opposite the coop. Fasten the wire with screws and fender washers at each corner and in the middle of the long sides, attach the rest with fence staples. With 4 more pieces of 2x4, make a square frame for a gate insuring to square it to the run opening, paint it and screen it. Hinge the gate on the top and attach (insure you hinge the door so you can flip it completely up on the roof if desired). Install a latch on each side low on the door to secure the door closed. This way the door will stay closed even if you forget and you can't get locked in.
You now have a 2 chicken coop and run with about 16 square feet of run per bird. It has a shaded area under the coop as well as a sunny area and can be moved by two people when needed or have wheels attached and moved by 1 person.
This was off the cuff with a beer so sorry if there are any vague points.
If you build off this, I want to see pictures including splinters
