So this old garden shed is going to be turned into a coop. It needs a lot of work but I think once done it will be very nice. My hopes are to free range them but building a run wont be difficult. It definatly has to be cleaned out of all the junk in it first, I do think I'm going to keep the makeshift shelving in there for roosts/nest boxes. There's a hole in one of the corners where some creature burrowed in but I havent seen anything about.

Any recommendations before I start?

The side, where the chicken door will most likely be

The back, its sheeted with tin for some reason

Ooh, the possibilities! What kind of climate do you live in?

possibly where the old windows are try to rig it so that you could open or close them to regulate ventilation.... goodluck

I'm in Montana, so dry, a few months of tolerable hot, then more months of cold. The shed has that one tin side, I think some tin lining the inside and a tin roof, it holds heat very well.

The mystery bag is full of baling twine, I'm sorry not very exciting. The window is actually screened and opens. Its definatly a home built shed but its so solid and little thinks like a screened window tell that it was made with some talent.
