Help Me Understand Fast and Slow Feathering

I have a Columbian Wyandotte trio that I got as chicks from a store that sourced them from Hoover's hatchery. The cockerel feathered in more slowly than the 2 pullets. I have now hatched 3 of their offspring who are about a week old. Two of the chicks are growing feathers in like the other chicks, and one is feathering in slowly. Slow feathering cockerel likely?

I have a slow feathering BLRW. I read that the slow featherers at least of that breed have better lacing as adults. I only had one other cockerel to compare him with but so far that’s definitely true. hoping to get some offspring from him
