My Coop
I have a 1 year old Buff Orpington. She was always very active, friendly, and the lead for the flock. She recently got broody about a month ago. She was still active but always preferred to be in the coop. Now I took her inside with me in a small tent. She’s been acting really slow and sleepy. She does let me feed her. I put her food with some water so it’s mushy and I put electrolytes in her water for her energy. She poops kinda normal. She stopped laying eggs, and now she’s acting all loopy, like she walks in circles, or whenever I feed her she pokes everywhere like she’s trying to find her food. I’m not sure what more I can do I feel like nothing is working. Please help

She's likely has a deficiency or two from being broody. Give her 1 400i.u vitamin E capsule and about a third of a B complex tablet every day, you get these from the grocery store.

Okay thank you. I actually have been doing this for 3 days now and nothing really seems to be working. She kinda stopped wanting to eat and drink. I’m not understanding why cause she’s only 1 years old and she was super healthy before. Should I just wait to see if the vitamins keep working or take her to a vet?

It takes at the very least a week to show improvement, keep up the treatment. What's her diet?

This is that I give her and all the other chickens. But for her I put some food in a bowl and put an egg and mix it and that usually makes her eat, but she’s just been very slow and sleepy and she can barley open her eyes. I do also feed her water with electrolytes.

Careful with the electrolytes, it's easy to od.
How are you giving the vitamins?
