Would someone please tell me what this wheaten penedesenca is?

I'm gonna vote pullet because I have three Black Penedesencas that are a week and a half old and the one that's a rooster is already obvious, with a bigger comb that definitely breaks the plane of the head feathers.

God, I hope you all are right. When only one hatched I gave up on the breeding them idea, and now I think I will just use her (fingers crossed) for eatting eggs. Unless you all tell me honestly that they are not nearly as flighty as they are said to be. I have Delawares and after having such a calm bird, I'm not sure what I was thinking getting a flighty breed.
Well, I do know what I was thinking... I was thinking that my sebrights weren't that flighty afterall so I'll order these too... flash forward... the sebrights are a bit too flighty for my taste afterall and I already ordered and was waiting on the shipment of penedesencas. I'm just torn. I really don't prefer flighty breeds, but I really LOVE rarer breeds.

I feel ya on the flightiness issue. I have no idea how they really are, I just have these three peeps and two more eggs in the 'bator due next week.

They'll be fine out here on the pasture (like 50' by 50' and moved regularly) and it'll be nice not to have every single chicken mobbing me and looking for a hand-out whenever I walk in.

But, in a backyard situation, maybe not so great.

My situation is they would have a decent size run (25 x 25) ... but allowed to free range in turn after the other breeds. I keep them all seperated since I breed. So they would only free range once every 4 days. Too flighty for that, I think. Like I said, I'm torn. I still really like the breed and I really like the eggs. Ohhhh, what to do!?!
