Help me with wiring my run! Please!

Do I need to wire the bottom of my run? I f so with what? I have some welded wire. I just wont my chickens to be safe and have fun! Oh, and I have seen possums on my porch but no foxes or racoons (this does not mean they are not out there though)!

So I'm guessing your run IS covered on top??? Because I wouldn't be worried about digging predators any more than climbing ones. If you did not bury your wire, then just do a wire skirt. Cut your wire into strips about 24" wide and nail/screw that along the bottom edge of your run so that it lays flat on the ground. Some folks place a few heavy rocks along it too, and some pile a layer of dirt to cover it. Most digging predators won't dig out any further than your skirt.
