Ok...so I have flopped back and fourth on if our barred rock is a roster or hen...I know some of you will look at it and laugh because it will be so obvious but I just don't know...also I am in denial that she might be a he. Dang I love her and we aren't zoned for a rooster. So HE OR SHE???

The barring gene is linked to gender chromosomes, so females end up with less barring ( = darker bird), and the males end up with lots of barring ( = lighter bird).
