HELP! MIA Bantam hen!!!!

Sorry about the nest, but I am sure she will try again, bantams are good at that. If you want to move a nest with an iffy broody it is best to do it in stages and at night. If you can, put half a dog crate or something over the outside nest for a day or two, then move the nest in the crate a day or two, then move the whole thing at night and keep them in a small enclosed area like a big dog crate until you are sure they are OK moving.

Thanks for the advise! I'll have to give that try next time if she decides to make her own little nest again! :)

I'd agree to lock her up. Mine paces back and forth and gets upset when she has eggs outside somewhere of the pen or coop. I'd try to find the nest. When I pet Penelope back out I just sat back and watched her for 20 minutes or so and she walked back over to her nest and that's how I was able to find her. Whenever I move her eggs and show her where I put them at she calms down a bit and will seem to forget about the whole ordeal within an hour. With all of the predators I'm going to be locking mine up indefinitely now. She puts herself in danger and doesn't even know it! :p
