Help. Missing neck feathers with quills intact

Those quills will turn into nice feathers. I see no signs of pecking. Maybe your wife likes blue chickens? Hopefully she didn't turn her fingers blue too.

Do keep an eye on the polish crest. Sometimes the sight of the skin can attract pecking. You will see blood if there's pecking.

One other question if ya don't mind. My rsl ginger. The one in the picture. Hasn't laid a single egg since she moved in with the youngins. I'm not sure of her age, but what do you think about her comb color?

If she's in a fall molt than they quit laying before they start molting. Her comb looks to be a healthy color. The comb will shrink back during a molt and lighten in color. She should resume in a few months again.
