Help! Mom and Baby Chick!

I am new at this....My hen has 1 chick so far and is still sitting on nest. The chick is 2 days old. My Concern is she is in the Coop with my other Hens and My Roo. The nest is about 2ft off the ground and she hasn't come out. Will the baby be OK that high? Don't want to loose her. What about food and water? She is a protective Mom and Puffs up when I get close. Help!

Are there still eggs under her?
The chick won't really need to eat for another day.
My nests entrance are about 1' high and I was surprised to see the chicks jump out and back in.
You may need to put a ramp in to let them walk up.
They'll stay in the nest the better part of the day for a while.

Yes, there are about 4 more eggs! I also have another hen sitting on about 5. We have been out of town alot lately and my friends were looking after them. I have a large coop (Tin Shed) so I could seperate them and I have a 20' X 10' Run. The Chick is so adorable!

I've done it both ways (separate or not) and I prefer to separate them. Less turmoil and better early nutrition for the chicks.
