Help! Mother hen is plucking the feathers of her 3-week old chicks

I keep my hen with her chicks in a dog crate-like cage as my hen is quite small. Everything beens doing great but suddenly, as i was about to feed them last morning, i saw 2 of her chicks backs with blood and their feathers are plucked out. I immediately thought it could be the hen doing this.

Just a little background of my hen. Its her first time having chicks. Shes 9 months old and i remember when she was a chick, she managed to pluck all of her mother’s neck feathers. And when their mother left them, she then plucked her siblings neck feathers. but it was all during the time when they are fenced in a certain area.

And now that she has chicks, shes doing it again. I tried to free range her and the chicks today but she’s still pecking her chicks’ feathers. I dont know what do. I dont have a brooder at home and im afraid this is just going to get worse. One of her chicks even have its eye thats kinda swollen. Ive attached some pics of her chicks too.

I would take the chicks from her and finish brooding them.

I'd take the chick's away from the mom if you want them to live.
