Help! My 8 month old hen hasn't laid for 2 days!

I'm really worried about my hen. She's been really loud lately, and she hasn't laid for 2 days. I'm really worried because we are leaving for vacation in 3 days. Please help me!

Not laying, in and of itself, is not reason to believe the hen is ill; nor being loud. It is not unusual for a hen to take time off. Even more so for pullets who have not been laying that long,

I hope that nothing is wrong with her though. She has taken a few days off before, but I hope that she starts again soon. Thanks!

No, no egg yet. But I don't think that she's egg bound. Maybe she's just taking a “Chicken Vacation."

I'm less worried now. They've also been under quite a bit of stress latelty,bescasie they aren't sleeping where they're supposed too, therefore they are laying soft eggs.

But I think that she's OK. If she really was egg bound, she would have been dead already.

But she isn't.
