HELP!!!!!! My baby chicks......

My baby chicks are not eating in the day. the food plate is full in the day but almost empty at night does this mean that my babies are active at night or an animal is eating the food?????? please help

Did you check their crops? If you think an animal is eating your chick food you should secure their brooder. Animals like eating chicks...
Watch the chicks during the day. Empty their food bowl, or take it away for an hour or 2. Then replace it with fresh food and see what they do. I remember mine eating quite a lot during the night, in-between sleeping, they'd have little midnight feasts. Then sleep again.

What worked for me was wetting the food. It soaks up water really fast and the chicks seem to think it's wonderful. My silkies see me coming with the dish of softened food and go wild. The big girls get it as a treat, and still go nuts for it! It can't hurt!

Definitley secure brooder if you think something is eating the feed.... they are probably eating a ton at night... they might have their day and night mixed up... silly chickens lol
