Please help if you can. I'm a new back yard chicken owner. I have four beautiful Polish bantams that are sweeter than kittens. My problem is that one of them has had brown runny diarrea for a month. She acts healthy, eats well, and lays nice eggs. I'm giving her water with cayanne pepper, on the suggestion of another chicken owner, that doesn't seem to be working. I would be so grateful for any suggestions.

Put 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar in gallon of water. I heard it on here and it has fixed my chickens in a matter of three days. Try it before you panic. I noticed improvement really fast. Good luck!

Okay, so I have two, 1 quart waterers in which I put two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in each today. I said a few Hail Mary's and am hoping for a solid dropping. Funny the things that I hope for these days. Anyway, I was also told that I need to get Ivomec to deworm my hens every 3-4 months.

Plain oatmeal, or did you make it fancy? My girls tangle in my feet when I walk worse than my cats already. I'll cook up some quaker old fashioned, 5 minute, oatmeal for us all tomorrow.

I'm afraid organic yogurt will be a bad combo with the apple cider vinegar. I'll try the yogurt in four days if the other stuff doesn't work. Thanks!

all of the above

cook your oatmeal in water (not milk) with nothing else in it (mix in JUST enough through the feed to make it all clump together)
.... offer the live culture yogurt free choice
... the acv in the waterer
... use the spot-on method to apply the ivomec Eprinex (on the back of the neck)
