If I were you I would not give up on hatching. Was the eggs shipped? What kind of incubator did you? Did you keep your temps and humidity as stable as you could?

this was a really unfortunate post, but i followed it for advice. i researched on the internet all over forums, and the nearest farm, and basically got this general information over and over again :
The newborn chick has enough food stored, for over a day.
SO - after a day, put out some water and layers mash ( grinding it is a good idea)
When they first poo, they should be hungry soon after, but it could be up to 48 hours before they eat.

To introduce them to eating, let them get used to your hands, as they produce heat and dampness, like the egg. whenever i put my hand into the heated 'box' it sees my hand and cuddles up to it. possible sign of it being too cold, but sooner or later it will get used to being dry and spacious ^^

what i then did, on day 3 (as it still hadn't eaten) i put my hand in, i put the mash on the floor, not in a container or dish or bowl, and poked the food. The chick was attracted by the noise and watched as i did it. i then put my finger in the water feeder in a pecking motion and then lifted it up. I also used a sterilised syringe, a large one, and dropped a few drops it watched them and as they fell it went to "catch them".
i did this routine for about 2 minutes, and tried every hour.
it soon pecked with me at the food. and gradually learned how to drink. i observed as it did it on its own aswell.
