Help! My Broody Hen is Dying!

She was dead this morning.

Does anyone have a sugestion on what to do about the eggs?

I have seen where people actually hatch eggs in a box with grass/straw, a heat lamp or high watt light bulb and wet washcloths. (This is common in some parts of NZ.) What day are the eggs?

Hatching eggs is very demanding and drains energy, calories and vitality from a hen.

If she had a crossed beak, she may not be able to eat enough during the hatch to replenish her body.

Just a thought.

Perhaps you could put them in your bra to keep them warm while you make a bator. I know it sound completely insane but a fellow member sucessfully hatched chicks using this method of incubation
